spammer beware

Oliver Kamm previously noted the use of the pernicious Wolfowitz "it's all about the oil" hoax quote in an anti-war bulk email called "Were we lied to?"

Now he's been phoning up the activist group's Management Committee, demanding that the record be set straight, publishing an open letter to the guy who signed the email, and generally making an inspired, deadpan nuisance of himself.

He recommends a new bulk email bearing the title "'Were we lied to?' Funny we should have phrased it like that..."

I love Oliver Kamm. His blog rules.

Sorry, had to be a little fan girl for a moment.

Yeah, I'm gonna dig out my 7th grade notebook where I crossed out the Clapton in "Clapton is God" and wrote Eno above it. Then I'm gonna cross out Eno and write Kamm.

Hee! I'm just jealous that you still have your 7th grade notebook! I think mine probably would be too cringeworthy to ponder: N*w K*ds *n th* Bl*ck...

I have to admit, Jackie, that the 7th grade notebook to which I referred was merely the 7th grade notebook of the mind. Alas. I believe it also bears the legends "Disco sucks," "Free Keith Now," and "I'm taking this nerd to the GAP."
