Off to the studio

Today is going to be a bit hectic and crazy and chaos may reign, so I'm not sure how much you'll be hearing from me. Just moving all our stuff into the studio is going to be a big, complicated job. I'm bringing along my dilapidated laptop, and if I can get it to work, I may be able to post, or I may not. We'll see what happens.

Speaking of...umm...dilapidated? there's another weird bug that's popping up for me on Windows/IE (both at home and at work).

Occasionally the comments on the comments pop-up will be white on white and will only show up when I select all, move another window over them, or otherwise force a screen redraw. No idea what could be causing that. I don't read enough other Movable Type sites to know if it happens elsewhere.

Anyone else getting this?

Indeed, I see that happen most of the time too.

It does seem to be something that's unique to MT-done sites... beyond that, I'm clueless. =)

I am very excited to hear that you are going into the studio. I had this horrid feeling after reading the notes in the rerelease of "The Women Who Love Them" that MTX would be no more.

I came across your blog from a link on another blog and was reading it for a while before I realized that you were that Dr. Frank. Which is funny considering I own everything you ever put out. I have been lurking on the blog and even went out to see you play in New York (even though I had to leave before you went on, but did manage to buy the cd, which I love).

OK now I am starting to sound like a stalker. Anyway, huge fan of both this site and your music.

Thanks, Mike. I suppose I'll keep trying to make records till someone passes some kind of law against it, and even then, I'll probably go underground. Shoulda killed me last year, etc.

Thanks for the bug report-- it's the first I've heard of a Windows/IE MT comments bug. I don't the faintest clue about how to address it, if there's even anything I could do. You could just load the individual archive page (click on the date for the post in question) if you want another way to view the comments. Sorry for the inconvenience.
