Tunes

We still have a small backlog of MTX cover songs that people have sent in. Eventually, we'll get them all up on the site. (We just got a "We are the Future People of Tomorrow" from a guy in Germany-- I haven't heard it yet, as I'm waiting for a fast connection to download.)

In the meantime, in addition to the Dynamite Ham stuff, you can listen to the album version of Emocapella's version of our version of "Even Hitler had a Girlfriend."

Doctor Frank:

You have broken my heart. It's been a damn long time since you played in Minneapolis. I couldn't help but notice--since the Triple Rock is two blocks from where I live--that you're finally coming. Yay, right?

No. I have just one request for you, and then I have to go cry: should you play here again before October 2005, play an all ages show, or 18+ or something. I've been waiting patiently, and this is very depressing.

Hey Dr. Frank, do you like cookies? I think that when you play in Baltimore everyone should give you cookies. Or at least me and my friend might, so be prepared. haha yes that was completely random but I've always told myself that if I ever see Dr. Frank then I'm going to give him some cookies, even if you don't like them (or want.. then we'll just throw them and run away quickly.) But everyone likes cookies, right?

What kind of cookies? It would be embarressing if we showed up with the same cookies... I remember when one of my bands first started out and recorded our first professional demo (not one done on a bad 4-track with 10 dollar microphones), we had convinced ourselves that if we mailed cookies and our demo to the Skirts, they would agree to do a split with us. Apathy, I think, would be the key reason we never did the split. Making cookies does take effort. But hey, maybe they never woulda noticed softbatch.

I will not be showing up to the Baltimore show with cookies, alas, but I will have a copy of the Chimpunks' cd, containing a dynamite version of "Sackcloth and Ashes."

On second thought, maybe I should bring cookies.

Would it be possible to join The Queers again on their European tour in March? Or at least the British leg...i'm clutching at straws here. Sorry it's off topic. Mmm, cookies.

hey dr.,
so anyway my girlfriend broke up with me about 5 weeks ago. ive been trying everything i can think of to get her back but its not working. since your comming to chicago in a few days and ill be at the show, i was thinking after ward you come with me to her house and we throw pennies at her window and you sing "your the only one". obviously shes not the only one for you but i cant sing and it would have more impact if you did it anyway. i know its a long shot even asking and i dont actuly expect you to come but i had to at least give it a try right?

Speaking of cookies...
It occured to me last night as I was driving home from a show that it must be horrible to be on tour. What the heck do you eat? Crap, I'm sure. Anyways, as I was thinking and driving (should be illegal) I was pondering how practical it would be to set up some sort of meals for those on the road program. I guess thats kind of what a truck stop is, but...I mean like good, home cooked veggie lasagne served in front of a TV with some fat guy sitting on the couch next to you. You know? Impractical I'm sure, but why not dream? Its like last weeks idea of scouring all of the retirement homes in the area to see if any of them actually wanted to vote in the primaries. I mean, who ever asks them if they want to fulfill their civic duty?
Now I'm ranting.
Such thoughts.

I realize I'm replying to an outdated posting but I'm Mike...
How many MTX covers exist on actual albums? I know of the Fastbacks cover of Book of Revalation. (Pretty great. MTX add cute girl voices and wailing guitar)I don't know, nothing that important...guess I've just spent the last five seconds of my life in vain. (giving me mirgrain)
