TAQN

Glad to see the trolls have largely cleared out of the comments routine. I haven't posted for the last week because I'm still in the process of depressurizing, getting used to "normal" life. Plus I haven't been able to think of anything of interest to say. That situation will probably change. Right now, though, I still feel almost exactly like a mildly-sedated, autistic chimp, or rather, as I imagine a m.-s. a. c. might feel in my situation. And I *still* have that blasted east coast cold, too.

I finally saw The Passion of the Christ. Just now. It was an intense, deeply moving experience for me, as it turns out. More or less to my surprise. I may have more to say about it later, if I can get my mind around it any time soon. But for now I retreat again to be alone with my thoughts.

I still haven't seen that movie. I think I'm probably the only one left on the planet that hasn't. And the east coast will do that to you. One day I'll get lucky and live in So Cal and be a surf goddess and run wild and free in the sun. Or at least one day it will be summer and Maryland won't seem so dull.

I haven't seen it yet either, and don't intend to, but am amused by all the hype I keep hearing about that movie.
Onto other topics, still not feeling well, Herr Doktor? Well, fedora-wearing girls from Cleveland hope you feel better soon, wish you a happy St. Patty's Day and suggest you drink lots of oj and get plenty of rest until you do feel better.

Cool a new post. Now we can finally get off that damn movie topic.

I loved The Passion. It was so intense that I quickly forgot that it was in a foreign language and that I was reading subtitles because I was just so completely engrossed.

My apologies to capt. hi-top for the previous post.

oj oj oj...you can't die of consumption on us.

yeah, i was quite taken with the passion as well. i went expecting a semi-entertaining, semi-accurate portrayal. however, it moved me in a way that the written words had not quite done. unlike so many aspects of life, i don't like to debate over this movie. regardless of anyones background or opinions, i simply reccomend seeing the movie. whether or not you believe the movie's validity , it's compelling nonetheless.

What I have to add has little to do with the movie: an interesting anecdote. My friend, a female, went on a first date with this dude in her building, and this is the movie he took her to see... a good first date movie? I don't think so. Discuss.

Ha! I knew that wasn't Kevin Smith. Kevin Smith was quoted just the other day saying he hadn't seen The Passion. Anyway, nice blog you have here Dr. Frank. I love your music.
