Old Lyrics, New Skins

Old news to most everybody, probably, but to recap:

A while back, I posted the lyrics sans music to a song of mine called "She Runs Out when the Money Does." There were quite a few people out there who announced their intention to compose their own music to which to set the lyrics, and I found the idea pretty interesting. I don't know how many actually did this, but thus far I've received actual recordings from three. The first, already mentioned, was from a British band called 100% Cotton, and it's here. I've been meaning to post the other two for some time, but I never quite got around to it. You know how it is.

Anyway, here they are: this one, from our friend Bill Moon; and this rather impressively arranged and conceived one, from M. Stansbury, formerly of the Young Hasselhoffs.

Thanks, guys.

UPDATE: There was some problem with the Stansbury file originally posted-- it has been replaced, and should be playable now. Also, stay tuned for yet another from the Backseat Virgins.

Hmm, I can't get the Stansbury edition to play. Anyone else having a problem?

I'm having the same problem and now it's been built up because of the intro so i really want to hear it

yeah, the m. stansbury file doesn't play on my comp either.

Thanks for posting Frank. I get a big time error that shuts down Explorer when I launch the Stansbury file.

Sorry-- there was indeed something wrong with that file. It has been replaced now, and it works for me.

Is it just me or did the first two do a really good job of immitating the Dr. Frank vocal beat and inflections as well as the music arrangement? The one by the Young Hasselhoffs guy was definately not immitation, he took the song in a different direction and it's kind of neat to hear country-like lyrics in a surf punk/pop kind of song. I've never heard a song by the Young Hasselhoffs before, is their stuff good? I really like the Travoltas, so why not?

The second one is purty damn good...I did like the stylistic difference as well. Nice.

m. stansbury song = amazing. "TYH" put out two very solid releases -- I highly suggest picking up 'Get Dumped'. again this song is awesome.

the bill moon one is the best, he just needs to sing a little louder, and some lead guitar. the stansberry one was catchy but the lyrics were obscured by the overproduction (no offense intended).
