Life's Too Short

Congratulations, Christ Opher. The irritating usenet-y comments of your alias Deep Storm have finally irritated me enough to kill-file you, which I suppose was your goal. Takes me back to my college days...

Finally!

I guess this would be the analogue to the "Fuck Middle America" picture. Maybe we should redraw the lines of animosity between those holding signs and those who go sign-less.

Life is too short, its true.. but then Blogs are not a life. Lets remember this people.

I think the analog to the "fuck middle america" sign would be more like "fuck california and new york" or something equally ignorant yet similar in nature.

I can't really think of an analog to the cute little girl's sign off the top of my head, but the appropriate answer to it would be "mind your own damn business."

Now that is a sign I would be proud to carry, but my reserved midwestern nature would probably prevent me from doing so.

back in the day, what did the college kids use
in lieu of usenet/message boards?
i'm picturing an unfeasible amount of
threaded discussions grease-penciled on the inside of
dwinelle bathroom stalls
(they're still there.)

I believe, Ucb, it was in the form of an ambitious series of puns based on the word "grout."

You're right. Now that I think about it, it isn't analogous at all. Hadn't had my coffee yet when I wrote that. Terrible word choice. Still, Fuck Signs.

Gee, isn't this the first time there has been a "ban" issued by the good Dr. at What's It or the Blogs of War?

Dr. Frank won't put up with any shit 'cos he's a badass.

The sordid DEEP STORM episode did venture beyond the bounds of what normally seeps into this space; I think most of us who happened to read it agree. Still, I don’t even remotely understand how the ensuing mess would cause our host to write: “Takes me back to my college days…” Did Dr. Frank encounter irritating people who impersonated misguided sign-toting guys at Cal? If so, did it make him grout-chy?

Gee, I went to Vegas for a week and missed out on all the fun here, lol!

this is just a blog. its not like someone came into frank 's living room and started pissing on the rug. its just a website people! how offended should one get??

Posted by: captin krunchy at November 10, 2004 06:05 PM

right on captin krunchy! thanks for having my back. i think half these people are only pretending to be irritated because they want to get down frank's pants. especially zaphod! and who can blame them, i bet he has wicked soft pubic hairs.
i already apologized and the more i say it the less i mean it. i mean, im not sorry i did it because no one got hurt. but im sorry dr frank got so pissed off about it. i frickin' ordered eight little songs through the mail from him even though i didnt want it just because i wanted him to have some extra pocket money for the video parlor.
dr frank, please unkill file me so i can continue to post my digital two cents from the safety of my own home. this cyber cafe is worse than the cantina on the desert planet of tatooine.
