years ago, during an interview for "the stranger," in seattle, i asked you if you'd ever thought of becoming a high school teacher, because you've always had such a connection with and such empathy for teenagers. your answer was something along the lines of, well, sort of, but no. for your particular demo of teens, what you're doing is just as important, i think, as school. once again, i stand in awe.

I'm 24, and as a writer one of my single biggest inspirations is SE Hinton's That Was Then, This is Now. I guess that's "teen fiction," but to me it's just a good book. I'm looking forawrd to King Dork.
