The Concept of the Urban Guerrilla

The next project for Bernd Eichinger, the writer-producer of Downfall, is to be a collaboration with Stefan Aust on a film about the Baader-Meinhof Gang.

This is great news. I was quite impressed with Downfall, and I'm sure the movie will be interesting. But mainly, I'm hoping the film may spur enough interest to bring about a reprinting of the English translation of Aust's Der Baader Meinhof Komplex, which is long out of print and extremely scarce. (I once saw one on eBay for over $300, which was far too rich for my blood; it's one of few major RAF books I haven't been able to track down.)

i looked for those bumperstickers when i was in germany, but failed to find any. hopefully the movie will revive interest in the group- it seems that lots of left leaning people have forgotten about the group.

Kendra, you can buy a bumpersticker at the Baader-Meinhof Store(!) here:

This isn't necessarily the time you'd want to use it, but have you seen dropcash.com?

Assuming you're not too proud to beg, it's a simple way to get your adoring fans to throw a little cash your way towards a worthwhile (or not) cause, like buying a pricey book that most of the donators would never read nor understand.
