Good thing I didn't play the one about Hitler's girlfriend...

(By the way, when I played that song at my recent appearance at Amoeba in LA, this guy who was offended by it went around the store hassling various fans. He complained to the management and accused them of being just as "insensitive" as me. Then he told them he was going to wait for me outside and beat me up when I came out. He didn't though, for whatever reason.)

That's about as sad as the people who hate http://www.catsthatlooklikehitler.com

it's not like you were saying being worse than hitler was a GOOD thing. it's a fairly strong anti-hitler sentiment.

That's Berkeley!

Not that I've actually heard the song, but if you want some help turning it into a ringtone, I'm your man. It's got commercial potential written all over it. Cingular has 57 million subscribers. Just saying.

How bad Hitler was is tangential to the song. What is central is how bad women are. They'd rather be with Hitler than our protagonist. ;)

he didn't show up because no one could ever live down being beat up by a guy who wrote a song called "even hitler had a girlfriend", that and rock stars/famous authors are intimidating.

You owe me on that one, Frank. I snapped him like a turkey and put him in a dumpster behind the store. That one's on the house.

Oh man, I wish that guy had tried to hassle me. I would have knocked his block off. Insensitive indeed!

(Yet another reason to curse Orange County traffic for making me late. I miss more drama that way.)

...or wait, you mean he was getting his knickers in a twist over the Cingular/Hitler song? I was thinking you played the "Even Hitler Had a Girlfriend" song (which I figured was one that I'd missed) and he'd gotten all upset, but now I re-read the blog entry title and I see.

I still wish I'd run into the guy if only for the comedy goldmine factor. An F in listening and comprehension, to be sure! o_O
