Penguin's British edition of King Dork officially comes out on August 2nd (though it has had an early release in Australia, as I understand it.) I just got a copy in the mail, as you can see.
It appears that they are giving away ten copies via this podcast, in case anyone's interested.
Spectacular edition of Agrippa offered by Wierus, for those who happen to have an extra five thousand euros lying around.
By the way, I'm going to be doing the King Dork song and dance at Book Passage's Children's Writers & Illustrators Conference in Corte Madera. Reading, playing, Qs and As, that sort of thing. Free and open to the public, they tell me.
Saturday, July 28, 7:30 PM.
51 Tamal Vista Blvd., Corte Madera, CA 94925 (415) 927-0960
Also by the way, I have been a big fan of Zilpha Keatley Snyder ever since stumbling on The Egypt Game when I was very small, and it turns out she's on the "faculty", too. So I'm really hoping to bump into her in the teachers' lounge and get her autograph or babble something incoherent at her or something...
I'm afraid the slow pace of posts on this blog may continue for a bit longer, but there is one piece of news that might interest anyone who does happen to stop by, which is that I have reached an agreement with Random House to publish King Dork Approximately, following Andromeda Klein.
