Emerging from the vortex I mentioned below, getting caught up on current events, I learn via Young Manhattanite by way of fimoculous that Steve Wiebe of King of Kong fame just set a new Donkey Kong Jr. record on March 14th.
The kids on the pop-punk message "bored" have been complaining about the fact that this here blog is a shadow of its former self, and I can see their point.
Basically, I've been lost in the novel-writing vortex. Has that ever happened to you? While you're vortexing, coming up with interesting or witty things to post on your blog is the last thing on your mind, and may actually be physically impossible. Instead, from deep within the vortex's isolation chamber, I roused myself to post a song every so often, just to keep something on the front page and let people know there was still a person somewhere in there; and also because they're songs I liked. It's kind of, maybe, like the slowest rolling "mix tape" ever. Or something like that.
Now, you'd probably be surprised how much there is to do to make a finished book all the way finished after you have technically already finished it, and I'm going to be doing quite a bit of that.
But if you're really the sort of person who prefers shameless self-promotion and "literary" hucksterism ad nauseam to a nice song by the Tom Robinson Band or the Mama Cass, then I can promise you you're in for a real treat in the coming months.
I'll have a few kind of cool announcements any time now.
In the meantime, you can pre-order Andromeda Klein here.
