Top These

There are quite a few Top 5 of 2009 lists over at the Hipster Book Club, and one of them is mine.

I should mention that since I submitted my entry, hulu.com has finally put up the first five series of Peep Show (thirty half-hours of TV brilliance.) You have to sign up for an account and sit through commercials, but it's still better than the nine-minute-segment youtube method I describe in my list. The sixth series was originally up there as well, but they took it right back down for some reason.

NPH in Dr. Horrible's Sing-along Blog was quite possibly the best thing I watched all year.

I'm assigning you to remind me when this Jesus Jerk book comes out so I can pick it up. I'm counting on you.

What you really need is the DVD boxset, and a multi-region DVD player!

Frank, we must have eaten at New Robozo on the same night because strangely enough I had almost exactly the same experience - lol. I swear I've had dreams about that stuffed Poblano pepper dish. Let me know if you want me to have one flown out to you.

I decided to take your recommendation on Peep Show and give it a watch starting out at series one. I have finished it and have yet to make up my mind on it.

You may want to try the CBC show, Robson Arms. It reminds me a bit of Peep Show. Another one to try is Spaced from the BBC.
