Forget the swan.

Damn spammers. They're never on thread. You'd think that someone advertising Viagra would have a cogent $.02 to add on the topic of bukake.

I know that you mentioned the swan guy being a casino spammer, but I'm sure they probably all work out of SpamConspiracy HQ, plotting their great spam marketing drives and spam conquests. Actually, the bukake thread would've been a fantastic opportunity for Viagra spam.

In my role as explainer of bizarre trends on the Internet, I feel obliged to explain that they're not really hoping readers of the blogs will follow those links, they're just hijacking your good Google ranking to get their site ranked higher in Google, especially for the search terms they keep repeating.

Google doesn't know the difference between you touting their site and them spamming their own links and gives the credit/rank-boost either way.

Hope that Blacklist thing keeps working, though it pretty much seems like a losing battle. My site seems to avoid the problem through use of obscure software that almost no one else uses. Knock on...wood.

they wouldnt do it if it didnt make money - and sadly, it does. I remember reading an article about a guy who was obsessed with buying stuff from the various spam emailings he got daily. Its sickos like that that keep such companies in business.

"I can't imagine the smallbreast-solutions.com folks get too many orders for BustPro from readers of this, or any other blog, no matter how much spam they attempt to unleash. Maybe I'm wrong, though."

You are, but not in the way you think; this is a technique to take advantage of blogs' high ratings on Google to up their Google PageRank for their site.

The phenomenon you all are explaining is called Google-bombing. Do a lookup on it for the full explanation. It's essentially the reason that when you do a lookup of "waffles" on Google, the #1 ranked site (the first one that appears in the search list) is John Kerry's campaign website and the same for George Bush when you look up "miserable failure". This way if you do a lookup for giant titties, you get whatever paysite has google-bombed the most or got the most hit-counts. Hope that helps all that didn't know.

You know, I have a confession to make: I vaguely understood the google-ranking rationale for flooding blogs with url-laden comments. But given the opportunity to use the word "smallbreast-solutions" in a sentence, I just went for it. You know how it is. Thanks, for the detailed explanations, though.

Ah, I see that you're using redirecting URLs now, negating any Google juice 'they' are hoping to squeeze out of you. Or maybe you have been for awhile, and I just didn't notice.

I don't know enough about MT to know if you got that with the new Blacklist feature or if it's just that you're adept at hiding your techoskillz. You're really a closeted coder, aren't you?
