If I'm not mistaken, it's a teen novel inspired by the MTX song "King Dork." I always thought it would make a great movie. (Kind of like turning _Duchess of Malfi_ into a teen romp...only without all the gore. :D)

Glad to hear everything's ok.
You may be onto something about escaping the job though. The last two nights I blogged about my craptacular place of employment.
Like all fans, I'll be shelling out for the book, and CD. Today I finally found the elusive (in my area anyway) "Alcatraz", and "O.B.O.S" to round out the collection.
