Anything that hurts Glenn Beck is surely an attack on the middle class...

Anyone want to have an MTX/King Dork bonfire? I understand vinyl burns real well.

What happened to you Portman? To think I was actually considering buying your next book a minute ago. Advice: know your audience...christ.

Not sure I understand exactly where you're coming from, Dan. Is it that you see the name "Glenn Beck" and immediately develop an urge to burn everything associated with the person who typed it? Is that really my audience?

The Glenn Beck angle in all those articles is probably only there to increase clicks from people who dislike him, a pretty good strategy (that worked on me.) But the actual story is not about him, nor is it really about gold-selling, but rather, it appears to me, about a change that will vastly increase the IRS reporting burden on small businesses and self-employed people. I'm not looking forward to having to file dozens more 1099s in 2012, nor to having people file dozens more on me, so I hope they do repeal it.

Anyway, have a nice bonfire.

Yeah, sorry...

I have a signed 1st edition King Dork, you wrote some Foghat quote, "...rock nroll got me through", funny and appropriate. I've got most of the Hopeless MTX suite in my record collection. Despite what I said I couldnt destroy good rock albums or as much as assume the facade of Guy Montag. (Although I did burn some Nickelodeon/girl serial for a artists' books class to create "Selected Allusions from Fahrenheit 451". I was going to use an actual copy of Bradbury's book, but i could only find one at the used book store and couldnt bring myself to destroy it)

I also just read the amazon reviews on Andromeda Klein and think I need to read it.

Where was I coming from? I came to your blog from Ben Weasel's blog, which is basically only show dates, but that guy has gotten weird. He played here in MPLS last night and i'll be attending tonight. Apparently he needs a private b-room, extra security separating the crowd from him and the bar is not allowed to serve drinks in glass containers.

I didnt stop to investigate what you were saying, but just groaned, "alas, the men i respected have all disappeared."

As a full time dad, I can't commiserate with you or your CPA. But if your novels improve as steadily as your songwriting did, i'm sure you'll never need to worry about a complicated tax structure.

And what's this i hear about a 2011 King Dork the movie?
