That is pretty damn gripping reading.

The thing that jumps right off the page is the entry "Tide". P&G should post that on their website -- "shaving cream", a category, right? But: Detergent? NO. "Tide". Let no one ever tell you that the folks in Cincinnati don't still have the goods, baby.

The question mark after the entry "hamburger" leaves open a lot of possibilies. It is a signpost at an intersection of many potential paths. Still, whatever was the nature of the conundrum, and I can't speculate without seeing the original document, and maybe not even then, I will share with you my moral certainty that the question was resolved in favor of the purchase. Why this conclusion? Personal experience. I know that mirror-imaging can lead to serious errors in analysis. But there is a baseline fact here that simply compels that conclusion: It can be frozen if it is found to be surplus to the anticipated use. So it is always safer in any binary buy/don't-buy scenario with uncertainty as to the decision-influencing variables to default to "buy", and resolve the question once you arrive home.

And "P-Nut" as a variant spelling. That is a very strong statement. Ascertaining its full meaning, again, would require, at minimum, an examination of the original document.

This is one of your best posts ever.
