Kick ass. Perfect pop-punk. How many people have covered this song, recorded or otherwise, do you think? I got the Queers . . .

This may be review for some. There are a number of songs that are tied for first place in the category "Best (Pop) Song Ever Written." There is no doubt that this is one of those songs.

Here are a couple more:

Only Ones - Another Girl, Another Planet
Mekons - Where Were You
Culture Shock - Forever and Ever
Embarrassment - Sex Drive
Marvelous Darlings - I Don't Wanna Go to the Party (This is a brand new one.)

VERY cool!

I love the cigaretteā€¦ and the bubblegum.

I'm tempted to say this sounds better than the recorded version, except you can't hear the backing vocals or the Chuck Berryisms from the lead guitar (wasn't there some controversy over the recorded version we all know and love? I think I remember reading that the original mix sounded a little more like "Teenage Kicks," but that the record company had them tone down the guitars and push the vocals forward? Maybe I'm wrong. Sounds pretty damn good, anyway).

I bought that album when it came out in the states. Listened to it over and over.

These guys were brilliant, and underrated.
