My dad used to sing the "white punks on dope" part when I was a kid. I never understood it. Now I understand only that my dad must have been on a lot of drugs when he was younger (before I was around). WTF.
Posted by: Debbie at December 17, 2008 07:39 AMDid Fee really get hurt, or was it all part of the act?
Posted by: Bill at December 19, 2008 02:06 AMNah, the guitar might have bonked him on the nose or something (an unpleasant surprise for sure) but he's pretty much just in character. I remember as a kid being plenty disappointed that Quay Lewd wasn't a real person. Still am, I suppose. It's funny that the lyrics are pretty much as relevant today as they were in 1977. Usually topical stuff like that runs outta gas after 30 years.
