The Telegraph will publish a whole article about what a jerk you are, in effect hyping the offending item in your own country as well.

A retraction which costs you at least whatever had prompted you to speak in the first place? Cheap apologies are the most annoying thing ever.

His outburst, however, pretty much kills any chance I'll be reading his new book. At least it's comforting to confirm every so often that even those much smarter than me are capable of moments of utter stupidity!
