Ellery Queen
This was my favorite crime show as a kid, and I've been waiting to see it again since almost immediately after it was cancelled in 1976. My memories of it are grand, and almost certainly impossible to live up to, but we'll see what happens.
Posted by Dr. Frank at September 30, 2010 06:59 PM | TrackBackI watched it during its initial run. It caught some criticism for portraying Ellery as humble and self-effacing, which apparently is not at all how he was in the books or on radio. Didn't bother me; I loved it.

I know I caught it in random repeats in the 80s (not quite old enough to have watched it in 76... as I was 1) but it was never "regular" and always a fantastic surprise to find it on. Likewise I'm sure it can't live up to those memories, but I'm going to find it on Amazon or Netflix and find out (shhh, don't tell my wife I have another bit of TV nostalgia to buy).
