The King Dork paperback is due out on December 26, 2007, and can be pre-ordered from Amazon now, if anyone feels like doing that.
The UK edition (out in August) can also be pre-ordered from Amazon.co.uk.
That's all I got right now.
Posted by Dr. Frank at April 29, 2007 08:44 PM | TrackBackthe paperback cover is... very different from the hardcover version. did you design both? for the record, not knowing about mtx i personally wouldn't even be aware of either. the hardcover version probably would make me stop and check it out while perusing a book shelf if it caught my eye. the paperback... i don't know. maybe i would grab it for 5.99 on the way through the grocery isle literature section.
in other words, excellent marketing strategies to whoever did design them.
Posted by: chris riordan at April 30, 2007 03:47 PMPaperback covers are often a lot different from hardbacks. My copy of Catcher for example does not have the familiar red cover that King Dork apes, but instead has a cover that pretty much looks like the cover-art on "Miracle of Shame".
Posted by: Zaphod at May 1, 2007 12:44 AMpenguin press, its like the 400th edition or something dude...
"looks like miracle of shame" is probably the funniest way i could ever imagine someone describing it, though.
Posted by: chris riordan at May 1, 2007 04:46 AMthe more i think about this, the more i feel like calling larry livermore at 5 in the morning and demanding he replace the cheap lookout cds that dont work 7 years after you buy them.
punk rock was cool, too bad we missed it.
